Kemeng Liu is a Junior Researcher at EIAS. She is enrolled in her final year of bachelor’s degree at Sciences Po Paris with a focus on transatlantic relations. She will be completing her studies at Boston College as part of an exchange program in Summer 2021.
Her interest in EU-Asian affairs stems from her upbringing in Switzerland, China and Belgium along with her studies in political science and international relations. While she was previously working at the European Parliament, in the office of MEP Nirj Deva, her work was centered on the EU’s foreign and security policy to China and the Korean Peninsula.
At EIAS, her research focuses on Sino-European climate and environmental affairs, as well as cross-cultural influences in education, and gender issues. She is keen to gain a deepened understanding of the power dynamics between EU, China and the US from a global and regional perspective.
