Eric Tourres

Éric Tourrès has more than 30 years of experience in the development sector, with particular focus on EU policy and developent cooperation, democratic governance and programme management. Tourrès served for eight years at the European Commission’s Directorate for External Relations (currently EU External Action Service) where he engaged in issues concerning democratic development in the Asian region. In addition, he has carried out various consultancies and numerous missions in the Asia, Africa and Middle East regions throughout his career. As Executive Director of Transtec since 2005, Tourrès is leading offers on Public Governance and Policies and has thus been at the forefront of the company’s involvement in governance, trade, cooperation and EU accession, as well as in international relations. Activities undertaken during this period include, among other things, strategy development, donor coordination, technical and advisory services, operational assistance and programme management. Tourrès is a French national and holds a Masters Degree in Agricultural Economics (Paris, 1978) and International Politics (Brussels/Paris).
