Bringing together a panel of leading experts on the Korean Peninsula, this event aims to provide perspectives of this situation from both outside and within. The keynote will be provided by Mr Charles von Denkowski, who will present his research on North Korea’s Ministry of State Security – the main mechanism of formal social control within North Korea. Following this presentation on the DPRK’s internal security, the discussion will shift to address broader security issues, framed within the context of the latest Trump-Kim meeting in Vietnam.
