EIAS Associate Researcher Grzegorz Stec on the Belt and Road's Implications for Poland

In this episode of Insights on Belt & Road, the CCTV.com Panview team features an interview with Grzegorz Stec, Yenching scholar at Beijing University, who comes from Poland. He talks about China’s New Silk Road which will not only benefit his homeland but also the rest of the world as well.

Poland plays a pivotal role in China’s Belt and Road Initiative, serving as a key gateway connecting Europe with China, particularly with construction of a major freight railroad that runs from Wuhan, China to Madrid, Spain with a major stopping point at Warsaw, Poland.

The Polish scholar believes even brighter days are ahead, since his nation holds a long and rich history of bridging Western and Europe, which can solidify its position on connections with the Middle East and Asia.

Stec also highlighted how Warsaw hopes Beijing can spur a better global business climate while European companies are seeking to invest and trade more with China.

He explains this and more.
