Becoming A Member Some Key Reasons For Joining EIAS 1. Invitations
to Briefings, Seminars and Conferences
As a member, you will be invited to attend all EIAS Luncheon Briefings, seminars and conferences. These events are bound to give you a wealth of information on issues relevant to your area of interest. 2. Networking Opportunities EIAS aims to facilitate networking and partnerships between individuals, organisations and institutions that have an interest in EU-Asia relations. Our Luncheon Briefings, seminars and conferences and offer an excellent opportunity to meet decision-makers from the EU institutions (Parliament, Commission and Council), embassies and missions, as well as journalists, academics and members of the business community. 3. Visibility EIAS can help expand the visibility of your mission, company or organisation via the co-sponsorship of events, joint research, partnerships, mutual exchanges or other means of collaboration.EIAS especially welcomes offers to co-organise high-profile events. 4. EurAsia Bulletin Published 6 times a year, the EurAsia Bulletin is for individuals, organisations and corporations concerned with Europe and Asia. The Bulletin reports on what has been happening in EU institutions -- including the Commission, Parliament, and Council -- with regard to Asia. In addition, the EurAsia Bulletin seeks to cover all major international developments that affect EU-Asia relations, announces forthcoming events of interest to our readers, and covers relevant conferences, issues and books. 5. EIAS Policy Briefs EIAS Policy Briefs analyse current issues in Asia and recommend appropriate European Union (EU) responses. Recent Policy Briefs have examined the possibility of a nuclear arms race in Asia, and whether the EU can play a meaningful role in Asian security through the ASEAN regional forum. 6. EIAS Briefing Papers EIAS Briefing Papers offer in-depth analyses by leading academic specialists and practitioners on topical issues facing the EU and Asia.
