Bárbara Teixeira de Sousa Sénécaut obtained her bachelor’s degree in Social and Political Sciences at Sciences Po Paris. Her choice of the Europe-Asia programme was a given, considering that she was born and raised in Macau, a Special Administrative Region (SAR) of China. She spent her exchange year at the Renmin University of China in Beijing, where she followed a language intensive programme in order to consolidate her Mandarin.
She is currently back at her alma mater pursuing a master’s degree in European Affairs with a focus on External Relations and Foreign Policy, deepening her understanding of the EU’s global and regional strategies. Her research focuses on China and ASEAN, and their relations with the EU, in particular regarding the development of dialogue, cooperation and partnerships.
