The Embassy of Uzbekistan in Brussels and the European Institute for Asian Studies cordially invite you to a panel discussion featuring a high-level Uzbek delegation led by H.E. Mr Vladimir Norov, Director of Institute for Strategic and Regional Studies under the President of Uzbekistan (ISRS). Mr Norov will take up the post of Secretary General of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) from 1 Janury 2019. He is joined by Mr Eldor Aripov, Director of the Information and Analytical Center for International Relations; and Mr Dilshod Karimov, Dean of the Academy of Public Administration under the President of Uzbekistan, as well as EU experts and policymakers to discuss large-scale transformations taking place in Uzbekistan under the presidency of Shavkat Mirziyoyev and their implication for regional cooperation in Central Asia, Uzbek contributions to regional peace and security, as well as new areas of cooperation in light of the new EU-Central Asia Strategy currently being drafted.
